Day – 01 : Arrival at Kathmandu (1,300 m.)
Arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu. The altitude of Kathmandu valley is 1300 meters. You can notice that it is being reconstructed now because of the need of changes at our times. The valley contains three major cities: Kathmandu, Patan & Bhaktapur. Every city is ancient having magnificent cultural centers, historical monuments, squires, art and architectures of unique kind.
Transfer from airport and installation at Hotel. If time permits, short visit of UNESCO heritage sites of Kathmandu.

Day – 02. Day to visit Bhaktapur, the UNESCO city, Preparation for Trekking
Today we discover Bhaktapur, a UNESCO Heritage. This is the most ancient city preserving its uniqueness of settlement, lifestyle, monuments and cultures in the Valley.
We will be fascinated to discover its inner settlements while walking through smaller paths. The structure of community of Newar people is very typical in this city. A settlement where every house is three to four storey, every door and window having beautiful carvings on the wood. Similarly in each corner we will find courtyards where people will have various activities. We pass by smaller temples, sculptures, artisanal, paper making, pottery making, mandalas and thangka paintings etc. Furthermore during the day we will see old people, having flower on ears, siting calmly in small pavilions and gossiping, women massaging the babies are other traditional way of daily life in this city. Visit of its historical Durbar Squires will be an enriching experience. We will enjoy the series of medieval edifices: pagodas and stone temples; wonderful palaces, arts and erotic carvings, sculptures, artifacts etc on our way of visit.
In the afternoon time for shopping and necessary preparation for trekking.
Day – 03 Kathmandu – to Pokhara (900 m. ) by flight or by Vehicle.
There are two options to go to Pokhara from Kathmandu. An easy one will be short flight of 25 minutes with wonderful view over Himalayas. We can drive 200 KM motor road which takes 6 hours. The drive will be very interesting to see very fine views, landscapes, mountains, valleys, rivers, towns and arrive in a lovely city called Pokhara situated on the lap of Annapurna Himalayas.

Day – 04: Pokhara Fly to Jomsom (2,720 m.), Trek to Kagbeni (2810 m.)
We will have a domestic flight from Pokhara for 20 minutes. The flight will be extremely exciting to pass between highest Himalayan Massifs above 8,000 m. Landing on Jomsom airport just in front of Mt. Nilgiri (7061 m.).
We are now another side of Himalaya in the north. Geographically this is part of Tibetan Plateau. We will notice that the surrounding terrain is desertic.
We begin our trek crossing Small town of Jomsom and follow the bank of Sacred Kaligandaki river. The river is more ancient than the Himalaya itself. The more we will continue the landscape is much dry, solar radiation is also higher and windy weather. During the trekking we will cross local people, shepherd with larger herd of sheep, mountain goats and rarely yaks.
We stop at Eklibhatti 2760 m. for tea. Continue one more hour to reach Kagbeni which is a very typical settlement of People preserving lifestyle and cultures. Possibility to visit a five years old buddhist monastery.
Duration : 3 hours, Elevation Up – 120 m., Elevation Down – 40 m.

Day – 05: Kagbeni – Chhusang (2980 m)
We enter the Himalayan Kingdom of Mustang Upper region. Following the trail with slight wind we will arrive at Tange in three hours. This is a small village having wonderful beauty of Himalayan Plateau. Exploration of the village. We discover the remanence of ancient fort, magnificent chhortens and tibetan style settlement as well as lifestyle. We continue further towards Chhusang. There are three villages combined within this village. Short visit and overnight.
*** In the afternoon it is possible to visit Tethang which is another village. This is also another ancient fort point in one hour of distance from Chhusang.
Duration: 4 – 5 hours , Elevation Up : 450 M, Elevation Down : 315 M

Day – 06: Chusang – Chaile (3100 m) – Taklam Pass (3625 m) – Dajong la Pass ( 3660 m) – Samar (3600 m):
The initial part of our trek heads towards the gorge of Kaligandaki that we will cross. Following our trail with a short climbing to reach at Chaile. The village is well spread on a technical point from where all the movements in the valley can be controlled. After Chaile the trek continues through rocky trail till Taklam La (3625 m.) from where an excellent view over Damodar Himal opens up. We further cross another pass of Dajong La and a beautiful descend to the Samar Village.
Duration: 5 hours, Elevation Up : 650 m., Elevation Down : 150 m.

Day – 07 : Samar – Syanbodche (3800 m) – Geling (3570 m):
Today we have a stiff descent into the gorge. After that we will be in a different landscape, extremely fascinating. During our trek we will have several passes between 3800 m. to 4000 m.: Bhena la (3830 m), Yamda la (4010 m) et Syanbodche la (3850 m) We cross them without much difficulty. Meanwhile we will have amazing view towards southern direction. We discover a sacred cave where local people venerate. Climb up through another gorge till Shyangmochen 3700 m. Last part will be a descending trail to join Gheling Village (3570 m) which is mostly dominated by an ancient fort and a monastery following teaching of Sakya Pa Buddhist School.
Duration: 6-7 hours, Elevation Up : 750 m, Elevation down : 800 m.

Day – 08 : Geling – Nyi la Pass (4000 m), Ghumi la (3765 m) – Ghemi – Dhakmar (3820 m).
We will cross the passes: Nyi La (3950 m) Ghumi la (3765 m) to reach Ghemi Village (3510 m.). We stop here for lunch. In this village we will visit a monastery which is surrounded by caves that provided shelter against the invaders. In the afternoon a gentle climbing In the afternoon easy climb in one of the most dazzling frames of Mustang – the red walls that dominate Dhakmar village.
Duration: 7 hours, Elevation Up – 860 m., Elevation Down: 600 m.,

Day – 09 : Dhakmar – Lo Gekar – Lomanthang (3 840 m.)
Today we will have a longer day to reach our destination. The initial part will be a stiff ascending till Lo Gekar Manastery existing here since 11th century. Continue further on this desertic plateau following our trail till Lo Manthang.
This is a mythical space known as Himalayan Kingdom’s Capital which is also a fort from ancient era. This capital contains two gates: one north side entrance passing under a large porch and a south side, backdoor, deleted and discreet. Traditionally only the northern gate used to be open during day and close every night. Short walk inside the Lo Manthang.

Day – 10 : Whole day for the Exploration of Lo Manthang :
The day will be unforgettable to explore the Himalayan typical city of Lo Manthang. We will walk through the settlement of unique kind seeing people engaged in their daily life. Many of them are monks and lamas.
The walks are many around Lo Manthang: barley fields, mustard and buckwheat. Stroll through the winding streets of the village to discover the two historic monasteries, Jamba Lhakhang and Tukche whose sumptuous frescoes were restored by Italian teams.
The Champa Lhakang monastery contains a huge clay statue of Buddha as well as elaborates mandalas painted on the walls. The king’s palace is an imposing building in the center of the city and is occupied by the current King and Queen. Although his duties are largely ceremonial, the King is respected by the people. Throughout the kingdom, the villagers continue to seek his advice regarding many issues. It is possible to hire horses to visit these valleys, but this short tour will need extra costs.

Day – 11: Lo Manthang – Dhie (3360 m) – Yara (3650 m.)
We will ascend till a small Loday-La Pass at 3950 m. Then we walk on a plateau 4050 m. Next part will be a downhill to Dhi then to cross the Kali Gandaki and reach the village of Yara.
Duration – 5 hours, Elevation up: 520 m., Elevation down: 700 m.,

Day – 12: Yara – Tangye (3420 m)
The initial part of today’s trail descends slightly to cross a ravine. We then cross a large desert and rocky plateau. We further descend steeply on Ghechan Chu, crossing a ford. Then we have a long climb to Sertang (3945 m) meters before plunging back again! Extraordinary view of the peaks of Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri. Then descent via multiple staggered plateaux to the village of Tangge.
Duration: 7-8 hours, Elevation Up – 840 m., Elevation down : 1040 m.,

Day – 13: Tangye – Chhuksang (2950 m.)
The day is very long. Cross the Yak Khola then climbs steadily to reach the pass (4210 m). Short descent for lunch. Beautiful walk on the ridges before descending a little stiff in the Nursing Khola valley and reach the village of Chusang.
Duration: 9 hours, Elevation up : 1210 m., Elevation down -1580 m.,

Day – 14: Chuksang – Gyu La Pass (4077 m) – Muktinath (3700 m)
The last day in mustang will be again memorable. We follow another great step to reach the Hindu shrine of Muktinath. Our trail crosses Gyu La Pass at 4077 m. The climb is stiff in a dazzling decor with the beautiful view of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna from the pass. The path then continues down the balcony to reach Muktinath. Here we visit the sacred Hindu temple. Then we find trekkers descending from Thorong-La Pass (5416 m.) (tower Annapurna).
Duration – 6:30 hours, Elevation up : 1200 m. Elevation down – 550 m.

Day – 15: Muktinath – Eklebhatti- Jomsom.
We enjoy the morning visiting the sacred site of Muktinath. From thousands of years people come to this sacred space. It is believed that passing this place in life will open up certain inner dimension to be liberated from Samsara.
After breakfast we will take our trail to down to Eklibhatti. We will have lunch beside the wide spread Kaligandaki’s river bank. Here we join the trail from where we began the trekking. Gentle walk till Jomsom to finish the trekking. (2720 m.).

Day – 16 : Jomsom – Fly back to Pokhara (900 m.) Short hike to Peace Stupa.
We take short flight till Pokhara in early morning. Transfer to hotel, installation. Free time during the day. Activities such as Paragliding, Zip Flying, Boating on Phewa lake or Short hiking till Peace Pagoda Stupa. You can take time for body massage etc.

Day – 17 : Return to Kathmandu ( by flight or by vehicle)
We take either a domestic flight which will offer magnificent views of Himalayas to the north. ( Please take left side while seated on plane !!!) Or we will take a vehicle to be back to Kathmandu driving 6 /7 hours .
Transfer to Star Hotel in Kathmandu. Free time for shopping or rest.

Day – 18: Visite of UNESCO sites in Kathmandu.
Today we will visit 4 major UNESCO sites of Kathmandu Valley. We drive to Swyambhunath. Climbing its 365 stairs, we will attaint the top of the hill. Its central monument is a sacred stupa dedicated to the divine illumination as the symbol of ultimate freedom or Nirvana.
Drive next to the artistic city called Lalitpur or Patan. Visit of its inner monuments, the pagodas, Golden temple, historical squire with palaces and other edifices.
Drive to Pashupatinath, a sacred temple on the side of Bagmati River. Dozens of smaller stone temples, seeing wild monkeys, sadhu people as well as the whole process of cremation ceremony in front. Finally we will visit Buddhanath, the biggest Buddhist stupa around which people walk around clockwise to circumambulate. Seeing Tibetan refugee people living this area since 1960. We will visit some monasteries, see the monks dressed in particular way, walking with rosary and chanting OM MANI PADME HUM, some people or monks will be prostrating or meditating etc as their spiritual practice.

Free time during morning and transfer to airport three hours prior to the departure flight schedule in the afternoon
