According to the legend, the lake Gosaikunda, is believed to have formed from
digging the land by Lord Shiva’s Trishul (three pointed sword) after he drank poison
from the Samundra Manthan and wanted cold water to quench the burning in his
throat. It is mentioned in the Hindu scriptures Bhagvata Puran and Vishnu Purana
and in the Hindu epics Ramayana and Mahabharata as Samundra Manthan. The
Gosaikunda area is considered as religious site and is dedicated to Lord Shiva and
Goddess Gauri. It’s holy water is considered significant particularly during the Janai
Purnima, sacred thread changing festival. This place observes maximum Hindu
devotees from Nepal and India on this particular day.

Day 02: Drive to Dhunche via Trisuli River(B)

After breakfast, drive to 118km mountain road to Dhunche via Trisuli River on the way.
Night in Dhunche. Night at Tea House.

Day 3 :

Day 03: Ascend and Descend Trek to Chandanbari(B)

After early breakfast, trekking about 7hrs from Dhunche to Chandanbari. Night at Tea
House.

Day 4 :

Day 04: Trek to Gosaikunda (Holy Lake)(B)

Day 06: Chandanbari to Dhunche(B)

After breakfast, trek all the way downhill to Dhunche. Night at Tea House.

Day 07: Drive to Kathmandu from Dhunche(B)

After breakfast, Night hold in Kathmandu.

Day 8 :

Day 08: International Departure(B) or transfer to next destination (Bus Station).

After breakfast, end of the tour. Happy see off.
