The name Phulchowki translates to ‘Hill of Flowers.’ It lives to its name as it consists of a variety of vegetation combined with the numerous species of birds and butterflies makes it a hiker’s paradise. The hill is the biggest in the Kathmandu Valley, and its proximity to the capital further increases its charm. The hiking begins at the Godavari, and the uphill trail will test you and force you to level up. Traverse the tropical forests and make your way to its summit to catch a picturesque view of the Kathmandu valley and the snow-laden mountain ranges like Annapurna and Gaurishankar in the background. In winter, the hill is prone to face snowfall, making it the only place in the valley to experience snowfall.

Phulchowki at 2782 meters is the highest hill situated in the south of Kathmandu valley. This is one of the most striking hikes in terms of vegetation in Kathmandu valley. It is also famous for bird watching.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive 14 kilometers for about 40 minutes to a place called Godavari (Royal Botanical Garden) . From Godavari we start our hike, gradually going uphill all the way through sub - tropical thick forest for about (4) four hours. The magnificent view from eastern part of Annapurna range to Gaurishanker in the east can be seen from this spot, on a clear day. It also provides breathtaking view of Kathmandu valley and is well known for bird watching.

After lunch we will hike down, following the same trail to Godavari for about (2) two hours and drive back to Kathmandu. Total trip about 6 to 8 hours
